Just last week I've downloaded the
latest version of ELOG, compiled and installed
it, and the date picker just works fine.

Could also be a pop-up blocker

On Sierra Macports install openssl in /opt/local/include/
, but copy it into /usr/local/include. You
should able to fix it.
