All paths are absolute and file permissions set to 'everyone'. 'Preset text' results in the contents of the text file being shown so access doesn't seem
to be the problem here. Can you reproduce this?

Is there a way to print a summary of all (or selected) log books on a scheduled basis, say like every morning @ 7:00 am? I would like a printed copy of
our daily logs (24 hr period). Thanks Eric |

Yes, I get the same error. Shell substitution does not work when elogd is started as a service. This is a problem deep inside the service management of |
